EITHER WAY Modular Eurorack Power Cable Orientation

It is very simple yet many ask about it. I understand the worry, modules are expensive but when you see “either way” under the power connector that means you can connect the power ribbon cable either way. There is a small IC (integrated circuit) at the right on the picture, this IC is a rectifier and will accept the polarity either way and output the correct polarity to the rest of the module. Usualy it is a MB1S IC. If you don’t see “either way” the best thing to do is follow the orientation from the manual. If you don’t have the manual, ask other wigglers or the manufactuer of the module. The white line or “1” marked near the power header usualy means the red line -12v but that might be confusing or even wrong in some modules. Don’t use a 16pin cable on a 10pin connector unless you know what you are doing and the pins match, see this post: diy-eurorack-ribbon-power-cables
